Meet Michel

People of Sucafina takes you behind the scenes to hear from the incredible people who make your coffee possible. This week, we’re speaking with Michel Beylouni, Client Support Coordinator EU for Sucafina SA in Geneva, Switzerland, about how he got into coffee, what he does on a daily basis and what inspires him to bring his A game every day.

How did you get into coffee?

Coffee wasn’t always my passion. I had 6+ years’ experience as a logistics officer, so that’s what initially drew me to Sucafina. But after being a part of the Sucafina family, I’ve gotten more and more involved in everything related to coffee, from processing on farms to shipping and roasting.

What do you do?

My main tasks are handling the outbound and delivery to client for French clients and some other key clients. I also provide back up for our Vietnam team in cases of vacations or in the afternoon, when they are not available

What inspires you?

My main inspiration comes from providing wonderful service to every customer with whom I come into contact and having positive feedback from them. I look for the opportunity to enhance my customer service skills so that anyone I interact with will have a positive experience.

I also feel inspired by helping other members to grow, since I am a strong believer in teamwork. I’m always happy and excited when I see a colleague moving up and doing great.

What else should we know about you?

I take pride in being able to cheer up any room. I always find a way to break any tension that happens, and I like to think that I bring a nice vibe to the office. Even remotely, it gives me joy to see someone laughing or smiling during these hard times. Also, in the Beirut office, I am known as the coffee guy. I make sure to prepare the coffee, pour it into mugs and pass it around the office to bring cheer and productivity.
