Cassia Carvalho

Cássia started in coffee in 2008 at Cafés el Magnífico (Spain) when she switched her young architecture career to specialty coffee. First selling roasted coffee at the counter, then the person in charge of the lab, quality control, green coffee buying and updating descriptive coffee content on the website.

She had the opportunity to travel to producing countries, meet producers and see in situ the management of farms. She has also been a Cup of Excellence judge and is a Q-grader. 

Two of the main reasons why Cássia wanted to join Sucafina were that she admired the work and the people behind the company, having had the opportunity to buy coffees from them before, and also to take a big step forward into learning much more about the supply chain, sourcing and selling at the same time she could share her previous experience to help more roasters reach the best coffees for them.
