3rd Party Suppliers Expand IMPACT

CoHonducafe and PERHUSA’s choice to join IMPACT verification amplifies IMPACT’s reach and improves the sustainability of their supply chains. For PERHUSA, the choice was clear. “IMPACT’s sustainability program adds value to [our coffee] in such a way that [sustainable production] can become an attractive commercial alternative for producers, consumers and all actors in the coffee value chain,” says Carlo Costilla, who is responsible for Certifications and Projects at PERHUSA.

For CoHonducafe the choice to add IMPACT was clear because the standard is comprehensive and focused on both environmental and social conditions. “We noticed that IMPACT takes into consideration the conditions of small farmers,” says Terence Fuschich Executive Coordinator at CoHonducafe. “Even though [IMPACT] is very strict, it is very practical and reality-based.”

Sucafina provided strong support to the companies as they worked towards their verification. “We received all the technical knowledge, training and support during the whole process. [Sucafina] was very reachable every time we looked for help,” Terence says.
