Update on Colombia
After days of national strike, events have caused several restrictions to the coffee supply chain.
Shutdown of local roads and major highways continues in coffee regions like Cundinamarca, Valle del Cauca, Huila, Cauca, Nariño, Caldas, Risaralda, Quindío and Antioquia causing serious disruptions in mobility and communications to main Colombian ports, specifically Buenaventura.
The situation has affected not only the movement of green coffee to ports but also the movement of parchment to milling plants which is affecting a big part of the supply chain.
Based on the current situation, we still expect road closures to continue in the short term as well as milling and port logistic operations delays.
