In-Country Operations
- Offices & QC labs in Addis Ababa & Yirgacheffe
- Partnership with Qoree washing station in Gera
Sucafina is working directly with the Qoree station in Gera, Djimma. This partnership is producing high quality coffees and better prices for farmers. As the project matures, farmers will receive training and support in a wide range of subjects.
Sustainability
- Agronomy support and direct market access for Lalisaa Project farmers
- 2nd payments
- 510+ farmers in training programs
Lalisaa Coffees, initiated by Sucafina, began with the recognition that the supply chain in Ethiopia did not reward smallholder farmers for producing high-quality coffees. The project offers quality improvement training and encourages strong growing practices through higher premiums. By connecting farmers and buyers, Lalisaa helps farmers take control of their part of the supply chain and garner higher prices for their coffees.
